Odd night on and even date
Door open and light peering through the crack...you know it should have been closed and locked and no one's there.
The persistent beeping like someone died on a keyboard in a locked office next door. A door slams, it was just the pressure change. But the key doesn't work...wasn't it the master key?
Someone scurries through the hall. It was just the janitor?
No power left no music to work to, guess I'll work in silence. Can't drown the odd night. The even date persists.
The unwavering blaring of a car horn like someone died on the steering wheel. Police helicopter hovers and circles. Illuminating tragedy in the dark?
Door creeks and cracks...where's the cord?
